The Star of the Sea Centre for Spiritual Living and Practice is an offering of the Anglican Parish of Salt Spring Island for people on the island and beyond who seek greater spiritual meaning and depth in their lives regardless of the traditions for spiritual development they wish to explore. While various Christian spiritual traditions will certainly feature in programming at the Star of the Sea, the program will include approaches to spiritual development across multiple religious traditions and multiple approaches from traditions outside what are normally thought of as “The Great Religions.”
The Star of the Sea is located at St. Mary’s, Fulford, an historic 1894 parish church that has been reconfigured to make it available not only for Anglican worship on occasion but to be a flexible, comfortable space for differing approaches to spiritual development including those incorporating movement, contemplation, and active discussion.
