Advent Update
We stand on the edge of the New Year. Advent 1 is upon us and Christmas will arrive before we know it. Some of the special seasonal services and events at All Saints are highlighted below. Time seems to go by quickly. Rev Paul arrived to work with us in Advent last year. He has been a gift to us and we are grateful. The Living Well Through Advent Devotional Guides are now available. Please pick one up if this interests you or talk to Claire Pickering about the inperson group meeting weekly. Thank you to all who worked on the Christmas Bazaar. It was a huge success, bringing people in and raising money. Gabriel’s Kitchen will have their last meal with us on Dec 26. They will I hope find a suitable location to continue their work. We are moving ahead in preparing the St Mark’s property to put it on the market in 2025. A small group will meet at the church on Tuesday to start cleaning and sorting our storage space and the St George room. Thanks to all who volunteered. We will need people to clean, sort and pack-up the kitchen contents before the start of renovations in January. We expect to start this work between Christmas and New Years. Let me know if you want to join us. On Friday evening I received an update from Rev Jenny Replogle who is overseeing the hiring process for us at the Diocesan level. We have received a number of applications for our position. Rev Jenny will be checking references and advising us on next steps late next week. |
