Parish Council Meeting - February 22nd, 2024

Today at a special meeting Parish Council unanimously approved the following motion:

"That the Anglican Parish of Salt Spring Island approves exploration of a shared ministry agreement with the Anglican Parish of Pender and Saturna Islands. Terms of reference for such agreement are to be agreed upon by both parishes and the Bishop of the Diocese of Islands and Inlets."

We had been asked by Bishop Anna to consider exploring the possibilities with Pender and Saturna as part of our discernment process. This motion allows us to move forward with these discussions to determine if a partnership is viable and suitable. Format and details can follow. It was important that we be as transparent as possible as we move forward with this.
