FINDING PRAYER THROUGH MOVEMENT

How might the body move if we invited it to be an instrument for prayer?

Beginning on Friday, May 17, from 4-5:30pm, liturgical dancer and teacher, Kristen Lewis will be offering weekly classes in the upper hall of All Saints, for all who are interested to explore the use of movement as a means of prayer.

Using gentle movement and prayerful focus, we will explore ways to express devotion, and to otherwise deepen our connection to ourselves, each other, to creation, and to the God of our understanding.

To participate in these classes, there is no need to be fit, young, or free of injury. All bodies are welcome as-is. Whether we offer our skill and fitness, or our awkwardness and fatigue, we can all participate in finding and expressing prayerful movements in each moment and celebrate the body as a sacred vessel.

Classes are by donation and will be offered from May17 through June.

Registration is not required. For more information call Lolla (250-537-2918)
