Chas is a retired Anglican/Episcopalian priest who moved to Salt Spring Island from Los Angeles in 2009. He and Sarah became Canadian citizens in October of 2018. While in Los Angeles, Chas developed affordable, independent, housing for people with mental illnesses.
Chas is currently involved with the Salt Spring Emergency Operations Center as a radio operator. Chas and Sarah have a daughter who lives in Los Angeles and a daughter and grandchildren who live in Urbana Illinois.
